Last race of the summer, whatcha going to do next month?

I wanna do a FREE - FUN - FAMILY - RIDE sometime this summer.

It needs to have water involved and have some epic Trails for some short rides and a lot of soaking.

I’m thinking Boogieville, It offers a secluded spot on Lee creek to camp/swim/play. This could be a place for a “big boy” ride because it is not very accessible for the kids or less daring riders.
I can only make the trail in/out to the river easier, not easy. Hey Jojo can do it.

Kirby Landy SP has alot to offer for the family, cool cabins, patio, good trails just not Free

White Rock has the trails but I don’t know of a great camp/swim area by them.

Is there a better spot that anyone could offer?

I’m open on a date. Maybe near the end of July? Please post your thoughts on who, when & where or e-mail me robtoole10@gmail.com

I was hoping to have more water to make this family friendly but the gods are not with me. Some small spots of water in the creek but be prepaired for the heat!

Cassie does want a KX85. Zac was ready to ride Sunday. He hasn't said a negative think about the ride.

I had a good time watching Jakes 6 year old bouncing down the trails at Mill Creek on that little 50. That kid is going to be good.

Travis I agree, It was so nice meeting everyone in a relaxed non-race atmosphere. I enjoyed chil’n with ya’ll eating Trent’s fresh real beef burgers.
That was some sweet single track that turned into blazing new trail down a mountain. I’m surprised your boy didn’t just quit riding right there but he sure was hating us for awhile.
Did you get the GPS for the single tract? It would be nice to find some more
I bet Cassie was begging for a KX85 on the way home.
Jojo and I didn’t want to leave but Traci was nice enough to lets us ride when she was sick and we had to get back to her.

Yes we will do it again, before the next race!

I really enjoyed the riding this weekend at Mill Creek. Getting to know some of the AHSCS family is much easier on a fun ride weekend. Race days are a bit crazy LOL.

It is nice to see some of the single track I have always heard about but never found.

Great weekend need to do it again!

It will be too hot to dance indoors anyway. Once the crowds eyes are stinging from sweat and whatever else is flinging around, the dollars quit flowing.
Rob Posted - 07/27/2012 : 09:17:26 AM
Well that spoils the party!
Cancel the dancing girls and bar fights for Sat night.
Mondo, Scar, Big Fred and Dildo sorry to bust your plans, that party moved to Justin’s house

We don’t need no stinking club house. WooHoo ready to ride!!

Justin Riley Posted - 07/27/2012 : 07:12:56 AM
Just for safetys sake, lets just say the clubhouse is off limits to non Razorback Riders members for the weekend also. I know that non of you would do anything, but should something come up missing or broken, we can eliminate the AHSCS group from the suspects.
Justin Riley Posted - 07/27/2012 : 07:04:14 AM
Will do Jake. Someone was parked in it last weekend that wasnt with our group (Sizemores). Dont know who it was but they were a nice group.

My son and I will be at the campground early Saturday morning and will stay until sometime Sunday. We will be riding kid loops only that will be beginner 65 or advanced 50 friendly. Nothing major but some of the bumps are big for the 10" wheels on the fifties. These loops would also be good for utility quads and trials bikes.

Justin- maybe you should make a post on the razorback riders site letting folks know you will be using campsites. That way they can let you know if they plan on being there and you won't park in their site. My site is #10 which is the closest to the playground. Please do not park in it as I plan on using it. If it is posted on the RR site we should be good. I don't expect many club members to be out in this heat.

Everyone else- Justin is really doing everyone a huge solid by taking responsibility for all te non-members. Let's make sure everyone does their part and doesn't jeopardize or take advantage of his hospitality.

Again anybody wanting to do kid loops is welcome to ride with us. I have several that we can make work for the kids we have.

Thanks for getting that Kelly. And thanks Justin, maybe we will see you guys there.
Justin Riley Posted - 07/26/2012 : 12:55:28 PM
There are plenty of quad trails, Im bringing my foreman for a night ride Saturday night. Sunday I am going to get together a long loop for big bikes that quads probably wont be able to make it around though!
hickkell Posted - 07/26/2012 : 12:00:45 PM
Tim and Trevor,

I have Trevor's award from Blackbird. I will bring it if I will be there on Sunday? At this point, I am planning on Saturday.
tmulhern Posted - 07/26/2012 : 11:46:16 AM
Hey Rob, Trevor and I are trying to get back into town to come up and ride Sunday. Problem is my cyclinder isn't back yet so I was wondering if a 4-wheeler would be a OK option. I don't know what the trails are like or anything so just checking. Even if we don't get to come, thanks for getting this together, I think this is a cool idea!

If I can get down there with my daughter, she is 13 but a beginner for sure. We definitely need to go on an easy loop
--EDIT---Can't go, I was off on my calendar! :(
mossycreek Posted - 07/25/2012 : 9:24:43 PM
Hey Jake. Cassie is 10. She has ridden a good part of the blue loop. She has a kx65 she isn't. Real fast but likes to ride. She is excited about other kids being there. My 17 year old son is planing on going also. We most likely will. Be there from fri night unti around noon sunday.
mossycreek Posted - 07/25/2012 : 9:01:30 PM
I will most likely be there on Fri night.
Looking forward to some fun riding
Skythrasher Posted - 07/25/2012 : 8:43:01 PM
Travis,

This is Jake Davis the vice president of the Razorback Riders. My six year old son and I may be as to make it down to ride one day. Will you and your daughter be there both days. I have a couple really good kid friendly loops to ride depending on skill level. My son rides well but is limited to what he can get a fifty to cover. What is she riding and what kind of skill level? If we can meet up I would be happy to guide a kid ride.
Rob Posted - 07/25/2012 : 09:27:48 AM
Great News Justin, so we will have Fans and maybe AC!

I have received a few e-mails from new riders, to answer their questions:
This is not a race just a fun ride and yes its Free.
Most of the riders will be racers, they will be happy to give advice or answer questions.
There will be short rides throughout the day so show up anytime.
Let’s show our appreciation and make a big effort to leave the camp looking better than when we found it!

If you don't know were Razorback riders camp is use the same map link and its just north of the original camp on the same road.
Look for the FRE3GUN bannor

Are you ready to get your, ride on!

Justin Riley Posted - 07/25/2012 : 08:46:55 AM
If its good with Rob:

The Razorback Riders camp is good to go for us, since there will be at least 5 RR members there. I spoke with the president John this morning. It is 10 dollars per night for elec hook ups. I will collect that money and get it to Luther at the next meeting. If you are a non member and coming, PLEASE pick up all of your trash and leave the place in better condition than you found it. Also, nobody is allowed on the property without a Razorback Rider member with them, so dont continue to park there after this weekend unless your a member. When you enter the camp ground, go down the hill, and we will probably park on the treeline that the clubhouse is on. PLEASE take care of the place while we are there (no pit riding or making ruts in the grass, etc etc) Thanks.

If you see the Freegun banner hanging on the Razorback Riders fence, that's where we will be. If there is no banner, proceed to Map location above.

Bring a quad if you have one. I'm going to lead a night ride Saturday night!!
mossycreek Posted - 07/24/2012 : 6:11:54 PM
I know the spot. I will try to get there around that time also. Cassie and I have decided to tent it.
