I've raced in some series where they have a $10/person gate fee. $5 goes to the property owner, and $5 gets added into the pro purse. If we had 250 people come through the gate on race weekend, that would be $1,250 to be added into the pro purse plus whatever the normal payout would add up to be.

I see both sides. I can see how passing a rider with training wheels may leave a rider in danger of crashing or being held up until a clear line is open. However, you don't want to discourage riders from racing who have not yet gained the skills to ride a track without training wheels.

Many series do have a signature sponsor that will throw in some cash. Even an extra $100-$200 to be split up makes a huge difference. It is looking as though most of the rain will hold off until Sunday! However, in the event that it does rain on Saturday, we will be going on as scheduled! My property deals with water beautifully! There will be no mud! We have very gravely soil and there has never been a mud-hole here!
