Re: Bear Creek-Kirby Update

Kirby update. Saturday 3-12-22 1:30PM. Course is surprisingly good with a few wet spots. Excellent in some spots. Sun is bright and racers and families coming in. Going to be a great event.

Re: Bear Creek-Kirby Update

Friday early AM.....headed to Kirby to finish course layout and start signage and Pee Wee marking. Weather looks good until early afternoon. Looks like much of the bad stuff could stay N. of Kirby and tomorrow should be great with an almost perfect race day. See you all there. Any questions, you can...

Bear Creek-Kirby Update

Good day to everyone. I know there are some concerns about the weather this weekend. Just to let everyone know, there are absolutely NO PLANS to cancel this event. The weather will be cold on Friday with PM rain. Jacob and I plan to ride the course on Friday morning and make any course changes that ...

Re: Bear Creek Race

Due to Corp of Engineers restrictions, you are correct...there will be no motorized or open practice on the course Friday or Saturday. Final work will be done by the Arkansas Dirt Riders on those days. You may certainly walk the course or ride a bike on the trails. Final course layout will not be de...

Re: 60+class

Unfortunately, several of us that planned on riding the 60+ or Super Senior Class in 2021 are ADR members, as well as riding AHRMA events which seemed to conflict with many of the AHSCS dates. Limited club resources pretty much require us to work our events, such as Bear Creek (Kirby), AHRMA Vintage...

Appreciation from ADR. Thank you.

Well, we actually had a reasonably dry weekend of fun and racing. Thank you to all the racers and families that attended the Bear Creek event. A big thanks to the hard working AHSCS team that makes everything happen behind the scenes and those members who do double duty as members of AHSCS and ADR. ...

Re: BEAR CREEK Conditions

Pete, having been down there working for multiple weekends and as recently as last weekend, the dirt was actually excellent with some moisture and the usual mudholes on the backside by the houses. We have worked hard at re-routes and new trail that takes as much as possible to higher ground (that wo...

Re: 2021 Bear Creek

From the folks at ADR. For information purposes, the campsite area and the starting line are about 1/2 to 3/4 miles apart for those new to the Kirby event. It is a very easy trek for a dirtbike , SxS, 4 wheeler etc. It is basically a wide trail or forest road. There will be plenty who will take thes...

Re: 60+class

Sure, most of us really old riders can do the two hours. With that said, I personally would like to see it remain at one hour. At 72 years young, I need the first 1/2 hour to get on the bike and the last 1/2 hour to get off. The one hour in the middle works for me.
