Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be a 4 hour team race at Hwy 89 Raceway in Mayflower on March 28th. The race will start at noon and will be a two rider/two bike setup. We will have Pro down through C class, a utility class and there will also be an Ironman class. This is an ATV event but anyone is welcome to come out and watch. For any question feel free to reply to this post or email: Drew - drewper327@yahoo.com or Daniel - hillian126@hotmail.com. Look forward to seeing everyone!!!!

How many entries are you expecting for utility?

on the utility class as many that show up can run, the more the better.

As far as training wheels, sure why not?

Can you share what the requirements and limitations are for the Utility class??

Bone stock? Limited wheel-travel? Other?

Curious what defines a Utility specifically? I know that at least on brands like Polaris...the line between Utility and Sport is heavily blurred...

Also: For this event, do the TEAM members ride the same or different Quads? Can a person go solo in a non-Ironman class?

We started this mostly for fun, so I am sure that we will not be really strict on the class structures. Just wanted something for a starting point. I know that my Scrambler (which is still for sale!!) would not be considered utility. I would think that we would say factory front and rear racks would identify a utility quad. Not aftermarket racks but from the factory (again my scrambler has racks). That would be my thoughts on it. We can get some of the other guys thoughts on the deal. And has far as ironmaning any class I do not see any reason why not!!

I agree - a utility is one that comes with racks from the factory. No reason to get all technical. If you have a sport utility quad (you know if you do) then don't sign up for utility. And if a single person wants to run a non ironman class then all power to them!

Very good.

I have a very utility Honda Recon 2x4. I just wouldn't want to sign up to find 450's in my class with a 6-pack rear rack, etc.

Only thing that really would concern me: damaging the quad... never raced a quad before, much less a utility.

Im thinking on ironmanin in the utility if its allowed. Ill be runnin c-class this year and it will be nice to go to a race with a ute class where I wont be runnin with 450s not that thats a problem just a change of pace.

On the ute's their will be a utility class. You can run it by yourself if you would like or you can get you a team mate and yall pair up and rider together. You can ride just one quad or you can each have ur own, just both cant be on the track at the same time.

The ironman class is for anyone on any type of quad just one dude and one quad. hope that helps. You should come the the first race texarkana!

Been talking about that and prolly no because that would cause Ronnie to have to close his park. We will work something else out tho.

If everything goes right I should be at the texarkana race, hopefully have my terracross on by then and not the mudlites lol. Possible I may have a team mate for that race. Im sure most will be shocked to see him on a ute!
