The trails are shaping up nice. The start will be in a new location. I know a lot of you would like to come down this weekend and pratice but the ADR has ask that you please practice at your home track this weekend. It is hard to put the final touches on the track with guys wizzing by you 90 to nothing wearing out the track faster than you can put it in. Thanks guys and gals.
First off I want to that you guys/gals for not coming down last weekend. It really made working on the track much easier. Now for the good stuff. Mark G. will be so proud. This track has his favorite thing FLOW I have never been on a track with more flow. As of Sunday evening the track could not have been any more perfect. There is a couple new sections to test your tight riding skills but for the most part it will be open enough to pass or get passed which ever is your pleasure. Now some of the not so fun stuff. This property is managed by the Corp of Engineers. They have requested that all people riding motorcycle and ATV's wear a helmet and maintain 5mph speed in the camp ground area. The Corp does charge a camping fee. They have full bathroom facilities at the lake side of the camp ground. I suggest that you bring a bicycle or ATV (with helmet) to make your potty runs. Last with the chance of rain all week the Arkansas Dirt Riders have ask that no riders get on the course Saturday so we can have the track in the best possible shape for you racers. There is over 30 miles of trails at the Bear Creek Cycle Trails http://www.uslakes.net/ar/LakeGreeson.com/land_recreation/bear_trail.html and there is a nice motorcycle billboard with a map of the trails located at the trail head. If you just have to ride Saturday take off on some of those trails. Do not ride on any arrowed trails.

Rickster, to answer your question about 'any boggs'? As of last weekend there were no boggs, the trail was dry, dusty in places and the creek crossings were in excellent shape. If mother nature cooperates boggs should not be a problem. The soil is sandy and should soak up quite a bit of percipitation. If she doesn't cooperate, ride smart and I think there will be lines to be found around any of the bad spots.
100SMITH to answer your questions about conditions. The trail is sandy soil with lots of roots on the older sections, but not as many as Texarcana race. No rocks, no steep uphills or downhills. Mostly singletrack, trail flows very good and will be fast on most of the single track, tight on some of the new singletrack and very fast on a couple of open sections. Should be fun for all. Don't miss this one.
I pretty much suk in mud, rocks, dust, logs, hills, single track, 4-wheel'r trails, boggs, and all in all... any type of motorcyle related scenerios....
How many people are in the D Class this year? I havent gotten my bike back together yet but I was wanting to race Bear Creek since its the closest to home. If theres not any others in my class though, kinda pointless.
I have not been down there this week but I assure you that the ADR will be down there bright and early Saturday morning survying the track, making any adjustments needed to avoid any problem spots. Rickster I doubt there will be any dust on the first lap.
