Darrell Judy Memorial Hare Scramble

Post by Ajudy300 »

Hey racers,

Up next is our event. This will be our 10th year hosting a race for this series. We are excited to have all of you back out to the farm for a weekend full of family friendly racing action. I wanted to remind everyone that we will be racing on Saturday instead of the traditional practice day you see at most AHSCS events. Sunday will still be the usual AHSCS points paying races we all enjoy. Course info for Sunday’s races can be found under the “Race info” tab on the home page.

Saturday’s events will start at 11:00 AM. We will start off by doing a series of Two- 30 minute Moto GP races like we have done in past years. Once those are wrapped up we will do a 1.5 hour team race event. Two person teams, change out rider each lap. The team race will be followed up by a pit bike race event. We have built a pit bike specific course that will be great for spectators and racers alike. To cap off the day full of racing, we will have a 45 minute night race event. I encourage everyone that loves riding dirt bikes to join in on the good times that the Saturday racing will bring.

Concessions will be available on site all weekend long at the snack shack. Including a Breakfast menu. Saturday night they will be serving a spaghetti dinner for $5.

As of now (4/20/2021), We still have a few reservable electrical hookups for campers available. I think they are basic 30 amp plug ins Those are $10 a night. You can reserve those by messaging or calling me. (479)330-0314

Sunday’s course isn’t anything extreme (we raced this same course in the ice a few years ago) but it is one of those courses that you would strongly benefit by having fresh tires and brake pads. We have some steep climbs and descents. And.... as most of you know..... we have a strong history of hosting wet weather races. I think we’ve had one race over that last 9 years that wasn’t a slick muddy mess.

For any questions about this years event, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

We look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the weekend with us once again!!

Andrew

Sunday’s race course (with the exception of the peewees) will be across the county road from the camp/ sign up area. If you need help getting your pitting supplies down to the race course, please do not hesitate to ask any of our event workers. We will gladly help you haul your gas jugs down near the race course.

Spectators (and racers) please be respectful and safe when crossing and or using the county road to access key spectator points on the race course.

We have been touching up the trails that will be used for the Saturday race events. I can’t promise the dirt will look this epic come race weekend. But oooohhhhh.... imagine if things worked out for us to be able to rip that up. Mmmmm

Again. Fresh tires and brakes are highly recommended. Having these two key parts of the bike fresh will for sure help you enjoy Sunday’s event even more. Especially if we get our usual sloppy conditions.

$20 for the first class. $5 discount on any additional class you enter.

The 65cc, peewee, and pit bike classes are $10 to enter. They run for a shorter amount of time.

Didn’t get a chance to film a 2021 course preview. So these videos from 2018 will have to do. Course is 98% identical from 2018 to 2021. A few less logs. Much less ice. We even made the creek optional and widened out all of the hill climbs to give you guys plenty of room to race up them.
