Off Road Cup

Post by gduncan »

Lets start Friday morning, decided to keep Brad home from school to get ready. Prom Friday night, and as usual we're running late so we ate after prom. Left home 12:30, arrived 5:30 a.m. Signup 6:30, rider meeting 7, race 8. Noah on a new bike zero practice on it, he starts lead, after 4 kicks last place. Passes half the class through the easy parts, looking up. Comes in after first lap needing adjustments. Oh yea we had no breakfast, lunch, snacks, ice for drinks, excellent prep! So we run 5th to 8th most of the day then start looking and say... we can podium this.... dig deep boys! last 2 hours they laid it all on the line. Pulled to 4th but kept digging. Brad passed 2nd and 3rd last half of last lap I was stoked. However upon review we found they had lapped us somewhere between bike troubles, flats, and a bike swap midway for Noah. Then a secret team appeared, now we are 5th, thanks to AHSCS FAMILY FOR GIVING US THIS OPPRUTUNITY. Looking forward to it next year, more prep, more vigor. Thanks to Jay Mattson, Noah, Jay, Brad, and Heather. I'm ridding next year.
