Are we assigned numbers when we join or do we pick our own?

At the end of the membership sign up there will be a tab you can select and look at your class range of numbers and see what numbers are still available. Then in the sign up it will ask you for up to 3 number selections of your choice. 1st 2nd and 3rd then once submitted you will be assigned the first available number of those 3.
