2017 Japton's on Fire Race POSTPONED!

Attention Racers, Families and Fans
We regret to inform you this weekend’s Japton’s on Fire Race must be postponed due to weather. In a typical situation this race course could handle a 2 inch rain. We received over 2 inches of rain on the weekend, today we have received over 4.5 inches of rain and it is continuing to rain today. The weekend forecast models are calling for an additional 4 to 6 inches of rain occurring Friday through Saturday. With this much rain we simply cannot take this much risk of the damage that would occur on the course, the starting field, and parking and camping area, as well as the challenge of towing vehicles, RV’s and trailers that are likely to get stuck.
We have coordinated this decision with our landowner and are pleased to announce the race is rescheduled to November 5th Please help spread this important news so that everyone can adjust their schedule.
