Warpath Saturday Practice and Kids Course Details!

Post by ShelbyJohnson »

ATTN RACER MOMs & DADs!

Last week we announced we would not be using the starting field this year that we used last year. This eliminates between 1/4 and 1/2 mile of grass track.

With that in mind we've taken great care to add mileage in the woods for the Kids and Short courses to make up the mileage we lose by taking out the grass-track field section. The kids will have two major hill climbs and the guys have cut both of them 10 or 15 yards wide. This will allow our little racers to have multiple line options up both hills with plenty of room for each other.

The kids and short BOTH will have to cross bridges that we've laid across the small stream. We're confident all of our kids will have little trouble with any mud in their race because all of their courses are on hill-side sloped ground. Every low spot on their courses we have laid down 10 foot long wood pallets to avoid low ground and rutting. The only flat spot on their entire route is on the ridge line at the top of the hill.

Parents are welcome to make their way to the first big hill climb which can be seen on your left as you enter the property. We will have race sweepers during their races to provide aid should it be needed for the other areas. And, as always we will have a sighting lap prior to each moto.

We are excited to watch them kick off another fast season of racing. These racers are as important to us as they are you, and we want their experience to be awesome! For that reason we are tentative about holding practice on Saturday. The track is already grooved and in great condition. We are concerned with keeping it that way for our PeeWee, Kids and Short Course racers. We will notify everyone as soon as possible concerning Saturday practice. Please share!
