2019 Year End Meeting Recap

AHSCS Members,

Here’s a quick recap to the year end meeting.

The 2019 gate fee changes, that were implemented this year have helped promoters and landowners put on successful events. Can’t race without them. Given the modest fee increase, race attendance and racers have been very strong. Our youth classes have been great this year.

2020 Race Scheduling
- 6 races scheduled working thru rest
- 3 new promoter requests pending with a 4th in the wings
- AHSCS WILL NOT RACE AT HSORV NEXT YEAR

2020 Rulebook as of now no CHANGES

2019 Awards Banquet TBD stay tuned.

MEMBER FEEDBACK:
1) Request to enforce bike numbers on all 3 sides and to request riders display numbers properly, as opposed to partially covering other numbers. OFFICERS & PROMOTERS to take under advisement.

2) Request to look at low, or no dropped races for the Pro class. OFFICERS & PROMOTERS to take under advisement. Via forum discussion.

In regards to the member request to have no drops for the pro class: That should be an absolute no. Especially if we're having 12 or 13 races. But at any rate, the Pro class at the AHSCS series should have just as many drops as the other classes in accordance to the current rule. This is a local series, not a national championship. If you want people to participate in the series, allow them to not have to commit thier entire year to every single race. We (the pro class) compete in probably a dozen different series between us and there us no way that we could attend every race and also race in the other series that help us be as fast as we are. If you were to take away most or all drops from the pro class, all you are doing is rewarding consistency, not encouraging competition. I think that this is a terrible idea in my opinion.

We agree with James. The Pros are Pros because they run national races. We try to work around regional races but they will not be at every race. Only 1 AA rider ran every race this year.
