How about a super sr. 60+ class again ???
How about a super sr. 60+ class again ???
Need a old folks class
Re: How about a super sr. 60+ class again ???
I’d only need 3 riders committed to every race and I’m all for the idea.

There are allot more then 3 already racing that is over 60.
Re: How about a super sr. 60+ class again ???
What class do they ride? And if they did move up, how many would be left in the classes that they left? That seems to usually be the main factor our officers and promoters look at when adding classes to the line up.

Off the top of my head, the B-50 & C-50 Class about haft the rider in those classes are over 60 some of them well over. If you started a 60 class you might even get more riders in that class. A B-60 class would probability be a better place to try. You could list it next year and see who would signup for that class. The c-55 class in the Hill Billy Series exploded last year, with 38 total riders an average of 17 riders per race. Ahscs probability won't have that many but it could happen.

Adding classes is a tough subject because we have so many classes already (too many, in my opinion, for the number of riders we consistently have).
That said, I think there is some validity to the consideration of a 60+ class because I'd imagine that it's much harder for someone that's 63 or 64, for instance, to be competitive against a 50-year-old that it is for a 35-year-old against a 20-year-old, and yet we have age classes starting at 35.
I guess the big unknown is whether or not it would actually bring back riders that have quit racing the series due to the competitiveness in their class.

u could post out that how many 60 and up would come race if we added a 60 + class and see what the feed back is. Im not sure we have alot of 60 year olds. Riding

If you let the +60 ride the Pee Wee track I bet more would be interested...just don't let the those dang Pee Wees hurt their feelings.

Just checking in to see if anyone ever talked to any 60+ riders that aren’t racing anymore that might come back if a 60+ class was an option.
Re: How about a super sr. 60+ class again ???
I'm 73, how about a 65+ or 70+ class that runs for 1 hr instead of 2? If not enough riders possible in the 70 or 65 age class maybe a 60+ 1 hr class? Just saying when you get old you can still run hard and fast but not for 2 hrs.
Re: How about a super sr. 60+ class again ???
Ok how bout this, keep A50 class combine C And B 50 classes there are some in c 50 catching b 50. Now you can add a60+ class. No extra class for promoters to buy extra plaques and you have a 60 + class. and the AP still works for those that are fast enough for the 50 + classes. And possible to pick ip more riders. I like it how bout y’all

I think this idea would work, but may require an AP adjustment for the A50 and the B/C 50 class to make it friendlier. I think a super senior 60+ class that only race for an hour that lined up where C50 currently does may be a good deal

Yes, we need a 60+ class - you will be surprised by the number of riders this would attract -
