Re: 60+class
60+ class number range is 800-899!
Re: 60+class
Hey all of you 60+ riders, are you happy that it's currently slated as a 1-hour race, or would you rather run the full 2 hours? Let us know!
Re: 60+class
I am good for Two hrs. If we only race 1 hr. How will it affect overall scoring?
Re: 60+class
It will be done just like schoolboy is now. Same sign to stop schoolboy will stop 60+ also.
Re: 60+class
If I change to 60+, I would prefer to run the full 2 hrs - that's my vote.
Re: 60+class
1 hour or 2 for the 60+ ? I'm in for 2 -
Re: 60+class
If it was 2hrs , I think more would get in the class (More Bang for the Buck)

Re: 60+class
I believe that you are correct, however the way I had it explained to me is that the intent for this class is an attempt to draw out older riders that may have stopped competing because they may not have the desire or physical ability to race for two hours anymore.
Judging by most of the comments I've seen, however, maybe the actual age for the class should have been bumped a little higher. All of the 60+ I've seen chime in on here and elsewhere seem to be in favor of 2-hours!
Perhaps this can be looked at later on in the season to see how things are working out.

Re: 60+class
I’m encouraged by the addition of the 60+ class and agree that 1 hour is appropriate. I know there are plenty of gnarly racers over 60 that would like a longer race according to the comments, but those racers have other options/race classes that would provide the racing time limit they are looking for. Give us older, slightly out of shape, looking for fun racers a class we can enjoy. Heck, I’ve pulled a hammy just typing this!
Re: 60+class
If you are 60+ and can't take 2 hours of Arkansas woods then go race vintage bikes in flat fields with no rocks.

Re: 60+class
Sure, most of us really old riders can do the two hours. With that said, I personally would like to see it remain at one hour. At 72 years young, I need the first 1/2 hour to get on the bike and the last 1/2 hour to get off. The one hour in the middle works for me.

Re: 60+class
Ok, it's time to re-think this Class - I've talked to many riders that are over 60 that are running C50+ and others that are not riding because of a lack of an appropriate Class selection. We need a full 2hr 60+ C Class. This would definitely bring the these guys back to racing. If there are some who want a short version - make that a separate Class. Please consider -
Re: 60+class
So to clarify, make the 60+ class a two hour? Or make it a 60+ C class that is two hours and still offer the 60+ class like this season
Re: 60+class
YES - 2HR FOR C60+ ! (LONG COURSE) I'm pretty sure that you will have good turn out for the Class. If there are some that want a short version, that could work too. I just know that a 60+ (2hr) Class would fly (just ask Greg Pruss)
Re: 60+class
Please consider a C60+ Class - I have at least 6 or so people (maybe a few more) who want a 2hr C60+ class, keep the 1Hr (Short) Class and let those Guys start with the 2Hr group. Just call the race for them with the Schoolboy Class.
It would please both groups -
Let's get some input for this on the forum, Thanks

Re: 60+class
My take on the c60 plus for 2 hours. I talked this class up an we added it , i wanted 2 hours ! But it got voted for 1 hour ( no problem ) all the people that voted for this class, and joined the class 11 members I think 🤔 well guess what i FELT BAD i talked this class up😩. It looked good on paper 11 members ALRIGHT!!! But when came race time WE ONLY had 2 of the members that supported the class,Mr Guild and Mr Beck, and Mr Shumate. He supported the races and rode when his health let him Hats off too you guys. So maybe we give the 60+ 2 hour class a chance for2022. I know that it will have bigger numbers. Cause we are already there in other classes. 1 other thing i will say. There is no way that our officers can construct a perfect class for everyone. Thanks for reading Greg #357

Re: 60+class
Greg, I didn't realize so many members had signed up as members in the 60+ class but you are right, there were actually quite a few! I'd love to see more participation in this class for 2022. Are there any more 60+ riders out there that would commit to this class if it were changed to 2 hours?
And for those of you that raced this class in 2021, how would you feel about bumping it to the full 2 hours?
