2020 Awards Ceremony - Update

Post by Jason Harmon »

Several of the Year-End Award items from FLY are currently on backorder and therefore will not be available for presentation at the year-end award ceremony.

The backordered items are:
  • Carry-On Duffle Bag
  • All Zone Goggles
  • Helmet Garage
  • Barricade Flex Knee Guards - Adult Size
  • Jump Pack Backpack - (Grey/Black/Camo Only)
  • Tie-Downs (Red, Blue, Orange)
Unfortunately, this affects a large number of recipients because the Duffle Bag was a very popular choice.

Remember, all first, second, and third-place class finishers will still be receiving a Year-End trophy for their finish.

Awards will also be presented to our 2020 Rider of the Year, Most Improved Rider, Junior Rider of the Year, and the Race of the Year. Ironman finishers will be receiving an award for their efforts as well.

Still going to have the banquet outside with all the bad weather and rain coming for the weekend? Trying to figure if we need to get a motel room for Saturday night? Thanks Jason

I haven't heard any plans for alternate arrangements. I guess we'll just have to hope for good weather and bring an umbrella just in case!

The ceremony will now take place at the pavilion near the marina at Kirby Landing. You will be allowed to ride your bike or an ATV from your campsite to the pavilion, being mindful not to harm any of the ground surrounding the pavilion.

After reviewing the location, the plan is to now hold the awards ceremony at the Amphitheater (which is located in close proximity to Campsites 1-34) with the pavilion to be used as a back-up in case of rain.
