The Best Hare Scramble Race Bike for 2015?
Well its that time of year again where I think to myself that I would really like to get a new bike. This weekend mine gave me another good reason to think about getting a new bike. I've searched around a little bit and here's what I think at the moment. 1) That new Yamaha 250F that is purpose desig...

Re: Yamaha 250 XC YZ
I'd heard rumors of a 300 2 stroke for the woods but I think that may have only been a rumor.

Re: Proposal on Pee Wee Race Start Time in 2015 Season
I may have a PeeWee racer in 2015 and would be open to trying a mixed group with the kids class but I see two challenges: 1) The course must be VERY easy. The easier course will give them more confidence and I would hope they would be less likely to take a tumble. 2) I think for my racer I would hav...

Re: 2014 YEA Banquet
I'm suggesting that everyone take a good look at the membership analysis map. I f the series hosted a banquet in the Central Arkansas vicinity it is: 1) Closest to the maximum number of members 2) It is central to all of the remaining members who may be eligible for an award I'm advocating that we g...

Darrell Judy Memorial Thanks!
Up front. If I forgot someone... then Thanks. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks! After the race I witnessed what it means to be a Hare Scramble Racer... Guts... lots of guts. Fight... lots of fight. Heart... lots of heart. Glory… yes, you bet… in spades! Unstoppable… only a few but not for long… no not l...

Re: old forums
I noticed the drop off in use and my best guess is that series regulars do most of their bench racing chatter on other social media channels. The message board just doesn't draw users in the way it used to.

Re: Newbie questions
Some fans bring ATVs in order to get around to different parts of the track to watch the action. The Cedar Creek venue has several spots to watch though that are right within walking distance of the parking/pit/camping area so you don't need an ATV there to get to see different spots on the track. M...

Re: Thank You From Japtons on Fire and The Japton Fire Dept.
I would say a massive thanks to the Dupriest family and especially Travis. I have an idea of how much effort he put into the course. Great marking and a challenging flow. To him Coy Lewallen and all of of the others who worked on the course, A great big thank you . I'd also like to say a special tha...

Re: No clue!
Mike this may not help much but given your road riding experience there are two major differences between the road bike and the woods bike. On the road your down range vision is much farther and on the highway there is no distractions on the road surface itself. Well except for the occasional dead a...

Sturkie Race Reports?
I don't have a great race result report to write about but I sure did have a great race weekend. Me being a bench racer extraordinaire I sure would like to read everybody else's racer reports. That track was awesome, and the whole weekend was awesome for me. http://www.gunpowderracing.com/2014/05/19...

Re: Thanks Scott and Shelby
He is tough. Fact. I saw Scott was doing a racer assessment so I got Brad's bike shut off and out of the track and leaned it up to another tree. Then I checked on the tree he hit. The tree was a little unresponsive so I talked to it a little bit more and reassured it that almost all of the rest of t...

Updated news on Luke. The surgery on Monday was successful and the tumor was removed. That was sent to lab for testing and mid-week the pathology results confirmed that Luke has brain and spinal cord cancer. As soon as they can get him out of ICU they will start radiation and chemotherapy. Keep this...

Re: AHSCS TEAM CHALLENGE
So did Slim Chance lengthen its strangle-hold on the team challenge? With Scott Gould flatting out did the A-Team Snake Branch rider's close ground. Did A Team X-Brand close the gap up to Mossy Creek? I'm just need to figure out if I need to throw a leg out next Coy Lewallan passes me, or fake an in...
